Job summary

The Senior Systems Administrator role focuses on supporting the VISTA (SRE Team) by implementing, troubleshooting, and maintaining IT systems and infrastructure. Key responsibilities include managing daily system operations, providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 support, and optimizing performance across client, server, storage, and network environments, with a strong emphasis on Linux, Cisco, NetApp, and Kubernetes technologies.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
• Strong Linux experience
• Proficiency in Linux shell commands and scripting
• Knowledge of Cisco network configurations and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of NetApp filer configurations and troubleshooting
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerization

Responsibilities

• Support implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems
• Manage daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems
• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution
• Assist users in accessing and using IT systems
• Support day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for IT systems
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution
• Support escalation and communication of status to management and internal customers
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization
• Support dispatch system and hardware problems
• Troubleshoot IT systems and provide technical problem resolution
• Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems
• Provide analysis and feedback for escalated tickets
