Job summary
As a System Administrator, you will be the senior escalation point for maintaining secure and reliable hosting environments, monitoring infrastructure, diagnosing complex issues, and coaching support teams.
Qualifications
- 5+ years administering Linux systems running LAMP stacks
- Hands-on experience with cPanel/WHM
- Strong knowledge of DNS, IPv4/IPv6, and web technologies
- Experience with email systems and reputation management
- Database administration experience with MySQL or MariaDB
- Comfort with Bash and command line
- Experience with backup and restore tooling
- Working knowledge of firewalls and web application firewalls
- Strong communication skills in English or French
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation
Responsibilities
- Monitor production infrastructure and respond to incidents
- Diagnose and resolve complex performance issues
- Identify and remediate security incidents
- Provision, configure, and decommission servers
- Own backup, restore, and disaster recovery operations
- Manage patching and operating system lifecycle
- Lead customer migrations and performance audits
- Coach L1 and L2 support teams
- Work with vendors to troubleshoot issues
- Improve monitoring, alerting, and automation
- Escalate platform-level issues to DevOps
- Contribute to documentation and systems standardization
