Job summary

R+V is seeking a System Platform Engineer (m/w/d) SAN / Storage to join the Operations and IT department. This role focuses on the stable and economic operation, administration, and development of SAN, Storage, and NAS infrastructure. The goal is to improve processes and technical conditions to handle customer requests faster, more efficiently, and digitally.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a similar field, or comparable professional experience
• Experience in operating and administering enterprise storage, SAN, and NAS environments
• Technical understanding of IT infrastructures and their interdependencies
• Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux environments
• Interest in automation and scripting, ideally with Python and/or REST-APIs
• High quality and security awareness
• Structured and independent working style
• Initiative and responsibility
• Enjoy collaboration in interdisciplinary teams
• Strong communication skills and service orientation
• Very good German language skills (minimum B2 level)

Responsibilities

• Responsible for stable and economic operation, administration, and development of SAN, Storage, and NAS infrastructure
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of storage environments
• Perform error analysis and troubleshooting in complex infrastructure environments
• Plan and support migrations, expansions, and technology refresh projects
• Develop existing operating standards and support automation of recurring tasks
• Participate in the creation and implementation of high availability, backup, and disaster recovery concepts
• Maintain architectures, operating processes, security concepts, and quality assurance measures
