Job summary
The role plans, operates, and develops IT infrastructure spanning Windows and Linux servers, networks, databases, and core services. Responsibilities include administering Microsoft services, virtualization, storage, backup and disaster recovery, security systems, automation, technical projects, and 2nd- and 3rd-level support. The environment includes technologies such as Proxmox VE, Microsoft Hyper-V, Ceph Storage, Active Directory, and ISO 27001 compliance.

Qualifications
- IT-related vocational training or degree and several years of experience administering IT infrastructure.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as Proxmox VE or Microsoft Hyper-V.
- Foundational understanding of cluster, high-availability, and migration scenarios.
- Knowledge of load balancers, reverse proxies, or web application firewalls, such as HAProxy, Traefik, or NGINX.
- Foundational understanding of IT security, firewalling, and access control.
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Knowledge of Docker or comparable container technologies.
- Familiarity with AI or AI-powered tools.
- Structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style.
- Strong communication skills with colleagues, customers, and external partners.
- Very good German and good English skills.
Responsibilities
- Plan, configure, and operate infrastructure including Windows and Linux servers, networks, databases, and core services.
- Administer Microsoft services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Exchange.
- Develop and maintain virtualization, storage, backup, and disaster recovery environments, including Proxmox VE, Hyper-V, and Ceph.
- Manage network and security components, including firewalls, web application firewalls, and VPN infrastructure.
- Install and maintain hardware and software, configure workstations, and provide 2nd- and 3rd-level support.
- Automate recurring administration tasks and improve operational processes.
- Plan, coordinate, and document changes, maintenance, and technical projects.
- Maintain technical documentation and support audits and compliance requirements such as ISO 27001.
- Collaborate with project managers, internal teams, customers, and service providers to develop technical solutions.
