Job summary

The Systems & Infrastructure Engineer delivers customer infrastructure projects, guiding work from discovery and assessment through design, implementation, testing, documentation, and operational handoff. The role covers Microsoft technologies, Azure and hybrid environments, VMware or Hyper-V, enterprise networking, security, and backup and disaster recovery, while coordinating technical delivery with customers, project teams, and vendors.

• 3–5 years of experience in professional services, consulting, systems integration, or project-based engineering.
• Strong experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Hands-on experience with Azure or hybrid infrastructure.
• Experience with VMware or Hyper-V.
• Working knowledge of enterprise networking, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, wireless, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Experience with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery technologies.
• Ability to independently execute implementations and manage multiple project priorities.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, customer communication, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and migrate customer infrastructure across Microsoft, cloud, virtualization, networking, security, and data protection environments.
• Conduct infrastructure discovery and assessments to identify dependencies, configuration requirements, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Deliver installations, migrations, upgrades, integrations, and infrastructure transformations within project scope.
• Troubleshoot implementation and migration issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Validate solutions against technical requirements and project outcomes.
• Coordinate technical activities, dependencies, risks, and timelines with customers, project teams, vendors, and third parties.
• Provide knowledge transfer and complete documentation for customer and operational handoff.
