Systems Infrastructure Engineer

Job summary

The Systems Infrastructure Engineer maintains and improves enterprise infrastructure, supporting reliable and secure business operations across infrastructure operations, engineering, and architecture. The role administers Windows Server systems, virtualization, storage, backup and recovery, cloud platforms, and identity and access management, while monitoring performance, addressing vulnerabilities, and implementing automation and infrastructure improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, and TCP/IP networking.
• Knowledge of virtualization, enterprise storage, and backup and recovery solutions.
• Experience with scripting, automation, and infrastructure troubleshooting.
• Understanding of enterprise cloud services, security practices, and system performance optimization.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize enterprise servers, virtualization platforms, storage, and backup and recovery systems.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, troubleshoot issues, and maintain system availability and reliability.
• Support cloud platforms, application hosting environments, and identity and access management.
• Improve infrastructure security through vulnerability management, patching, and security controls.
• Collaborate on infrastructure improvements, automation, and scalable technology solutions.
• Contribute to infrastructure planning, technical documentation, and continuous improvement.
