Job summary

Team Lead for DevOps Engineering in Bonn. This role involves leading and coaching a team of DevOps engineers, optimizing cloud infrastructure and deployment strategies, and ensuring the high availability and scalability of container platforms.

Qualifications

• Completed degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field, alternatively a successfully completed IT apprenticeship (e.g., Fachinformatik)
• Several years of practical experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering and initial leadership experience
• Proficient in tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins)
• Profound knowledge of cloud technologies, deployment, and service models and their application scenarios
• Establish and implement DevOps culture (Collaboration, Automation, Lean, Measurement, Sharing)
• Implement complex technical issues and confidently moderate conflict situations
• Modern leadership style as a role model with trusting collaboration as part of the team

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of DevOps engineers and foster individual development of employees
• Design cloud infrastructure and optimize deployment strategies
• Manage and be responsible for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and minimize manual effort through intelligent automation
• Collaborate closely with Kubernetes/Cloud architects and Product Owners to accelerate release cycles
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and resilience of the container platform
• Manage and support the platform (Monitoring, Logging, and Alerting)
• Responsible for documentation, creation of operating concepts, and development of technical standards
