Job summary
Lead the technical direction and hands-on development of a cloud platform supporting a high-traffic digital shopping experience. Set the platform roadmap, evolve scalable and resilient architecture on Google Cloud and Kubernetes, and improve Infrastructure as Code, GitOps-based CI/CD, observability, disaster recovery, security, and cloud cost efficiency. Provide technical guidance and mentoring while partnering with product and engineering teams.

Qualifications
- Several years of cloud or platform engineering experience
- Strong familiarity with Google Cloud Platform and Google Kubernetes Engine; AWS experience is welcome
- Experience designing and operating scalable, highly available platforms in production
- Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code, containerization, and modern CI/CD practices
- Understanding of observability, security, and disaster recovery for business-critical systems
- Prior experience in technical leadership or mentoring
- Hands-on approach to technical decisions and prioritization
- Commitment to automation, ownership, and continuous improvement
Responsibilities
- Develop the cloud platform technical roadmap and align priorities with stakeholders
- Evolve the architecture of a scalable, highly available, and resilient Google Cloud platform
- Shape architecture and design decisions for Infrastructure as Code, containerization, and emerging commerce technologies
- Own the stability, performance, and security of the Kubernetes environment
- Improve CI/CD pipelines using GitOps
- Advance monitoring, logging, and tracing, including Datadog
- Optimize cloud costs and strengthen security
- Provide technical guidance and foster team ownership and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with webshop, product development, cloud platform, software engineering, security, and architecture teams
