Tech Lead / Data & Cloud Architect – GCP, Java y BigQuery

Job summary

The Tech Lead / Data and Cloud Architect leads development and data teams while designing scalable cloud, integration, and analytics solutions. The role modernizes legacy applications, builds ETL/ELT pipelines with Google Cloud Data Fusion and dbt, manages BigQuery data warehouses, and maintains Java 8, JSP, EJB, and Oracle systems. It also supports Salesforce integrations and ensures platform quality, security, performance, and resilience.

Qualifications

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery, including schema design, partitioning, clustering, and query and cost optimization.
• Practical dbt experience in data modeling, testing, and lineage documentation.
• Experience with Google Cloud Data Fusion or other ETL/ELT tools.
• Advanced Looker Studio skills for reporting and dashboards.
• Experience developing and maintaining applications with Java 8, JSP, and EJB.
• Strong Oracle and PL/SQL knowledge, including relational modeling and query optimization.
• CI/CD experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of Docker and infrastructure as code with Terraform.
• Technical leadership, code review, and multidisciplinary team coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and data teams, establish technical standards, and conduct code reviews.
• Design integrations between legacy systems and cloud services.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Google Cloud Data Fusion and dbt.
• Manage and optimize BigQuery data warehouses for performance, governance, and cost.
• Develop dashboards, semantic models, and reports in Looker Studio.
• Maintain and evolve backend applications using Java 8, JSP, and EJB.
• Administer Oracle databases and optimize queries, stored procedures, and PL/SQL.
• Translate business needs into technical solutions with Product Owners and architects.
• Ensure platform availability, security, performance, and resilience.
• Integrate Salesforce using REST/SOAP APIs, Bulk API, or native connectors.
