Telco Cloud Architect

Job summary

The Telco Cloud Architect shapes customer strategy and leads the architecture, design, and delivery of large-scale cloud platforms for telecommunications networks. The role spans pre-sales discovery and solution design through pilots and production deployments, including distributed OpenShift platforms, CNF/VNF onboarding, and automated deployment and operations using OpenStack, Ansible, ZTP, and GitOps. It also coordinates cross-functional teams and develops repeatable delivery methods for complex customer environments.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of modern telecommunications networks, protocols, and software-based implementations.
• Experience designing and delivering cloud and automation technology for telecommunications platforms.
• Hands-on experience with OpenShift, OpenStack, software-defined storage, and Ansible in telecommunications environments.
• Background in consultative customer engagements with a software vendor, systems integrator, network equipment provider, or telecommunications services provider.
• Ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and French, including presentations to C-level executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and delivery of large-scale telecommunications cloud platforms.
• Conduct customer discovery, analysis, and design workshops to shape requirements and architecture decisions.
• Lead consulting teams through customer pilot and production deployments.
• Create pre-sales, consulting, and support content for telecommunications solutions.
• Coordinate with product, engineering, consulting, support, and sales teams.
• Develop repeatable methodologies and tools to scale services and reduce delivery risk.
• Produce industry content and speak at telecommunications conferences.
• Design distributed OpenShift platforms across core and edge environments.
• Develop CNF/VNF onboarding and lifecycle management workflows.
• Design automated deployment and operations pipelines using ZTP, GitOps, and Ansible.
• Plan integration with customer network, IT, and legacy OSS/BSS systems.
• Prepare architecture-driven statements of work, effort estimates, and service scopes.
