Job summary
Telecommunications/Network Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in physical network infrastructure and enterprise networking across Layers 1–4.
Qualifications
- Deep understanding of structured cabling standards (TIA/EIA) and fiber/copper infrastructure
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing VLAN and Layer 3 routing solutions
- Proven ability to troubleshoot across physical and logical network layers
Responsibilities
- Design and implement VLAN architectures and network segmentation strategies
- Configure trunking, spanning tree, and Layer 2 switching technologies
- Implement IP addressing schemes, subnetting, and Layer 3 routing configurations
- Troubleshoot across OSI Layers 1–4
- Configure and support routing protocols, ACLs, QoS
- Perform network performance analysis and capacity planning
- Serve as the primary technical authority for network infrastructure issues
- Ensure compliance with DISA STIGs and RMF controls
- Support vulnerability remediation and secure configuration baselines
- Coordinate change management activities and maintain infrastructure documentation
- Support incident response and root cause analysis
