Job summary
Accenture is seeking a Test Automation Engineer with strong software development expertise to design and implement scalable automation frameworks using TypeScript. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance application quality and efficiency through intelligent automation and GenAI tools.
Qualifications
- 4-5 years of experience in software quality engineering or test automation.
- 3+ years of experience developing automation frameworks using TypeScript.
- Experience with open-source test automation frameworks like Playwright, Selenium, or WebdriverIO.
- Experience developing automated UI, API, and end-to-end test suites.
- Experience in frontend and/or backend application development.
- Practical experience using GenAI tools in engineering activities.
- Familiarity with AI concepts like agentic workflows and Retrieval-Augmented Generation.
- Experience testing cloud-native or microservices-based applications.
- Understanding of software development and testing lifecycles, Agile, and DevOps.
- Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with source control systems like Git.
- Knowledge of API testing and automation best practices.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Eligibility for Reliability Clearance.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using TypeScript and open-source automation tools.
- Develop automated functional, regression, integration, API, end-to-end, and cross-browser test suites.
- Build reusable automation libraries and testing components.
- Contribute to frontend and/or backend application development.
- Collaborate with teams to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Utilize GenAI tools to improve development and testing workflows.
- Participate in the design of AI-enabled solutions.
- Develop automated API validation and service testing solutions.
- Analyze application performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Establish and monitor quality metrics and release readiness indicators.
- Support production validation and ongoing quality improvements.
- Ensure automation solutions meet security and compliance requirements.
- Mentor team members on test automation best practices.
