Test-Automation Engineer

Job summary

The Test Engineer / Test Automation Engineer helps clients establish sustainable software quality across cloud and enterprise projects, from product development to modernization of existing systems. The role combines client consulting with designing test architectures and quality processes, and hands-on delivery of automated tests, frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines using technologies such as Playwright and programming languages including TypeScript, Java, C#, and Python.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in software quality assurance.
• Strong test automation skills with Playwright or a comparable framework.
• Experience building and evolving test architectures and frameworks.
• Programming skills in TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, C#, or Python.
• Knowledge of API, end-to-end, and integration testing.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into DevOps processes.
• Understanding of modern software architectures and development processes.
• Ability to translate technical and business requirements into sustainable testing solutions.
• Very good German language skills, at least C1.
• Experience advising clients or supporting teams in developing quality and testing capabilities is an advantage.
• Interest in AI technologies and their use in quality and testing; AI evaluation experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on test automation, quality processes, and quality assurance.
• Design and develop test architectures, automated test frameworks, and quality solutions.
• Implement automated tests and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes.
• Help teams establish sustainable software quality throughout the software lifecycle.
• Select appropriate tools and approaches and communicate solutions to client teams.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and business stakeholders.
