Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Test Automation Engineer SME to lead the design and implementation of test automation frameworks for the FAA's National Airspace System. This role involves providing technical leadership, developing automated test scripts, and ensuring compliance with safety-critical testing needs.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship Required.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Expertise in test automation tools (Robot Framework, Playwright).
• Proficiency in programming and scripting languages (Codebeamer, Spira Test).
• Experience with CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps).
• Familiarity with cloud-based automation testing (AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, HP ALM).

Responsibilities

• Lead design and optimization of test automation frameworks.
• Develop and maintain reusable automation libraries.
• Create automated test scripts for functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
• Align automation strategies with safety-critical testing needs.
• Provide expertise on automation tools and best practices.
• Integrate automated testing into continuous testing pipelines.
• Collaborate with engineers and product owners for testability.
• Manage defect tracking and automation-driven remediation.
• Evaluate and recommend test automation tools.
• Mentor test engineers in automation methodologies.
• Conduct code reviews and framework audits.
• Produce automation coverage metrics and reports.
• Support test readiness reviews and compliance activities.
• Drive automation strategy across FAA programs.
