Test Automation & Infrastructure Engineer (m/w/d) HIL & SIL

Job summary

Develop, implement, and operate Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) test systems, focusing on complex software and system solutions.

Qualifications

• Completed university degree or comparable qualification
• Several years of practical experience in HIL/SIL testing or test automation
• Strong knowledge of Vector CANoe
• Proficient in multiple scripting or programming languages
• Experience with CI systems and version control workflows
• Familiarity with SIL and HIL testing methods
• Experience using AI in testing or software development
• Fluent in English and German in a technical context

Responsibilities

• Develop and operate HIL/SIL test systems
• Plan and maintain automated tests on HIL/SIL test stands
• Set up and configure test environments and simulations
• Analyze requirements and derive test cases
• Implement automated test cases and integrate into CI infrastructures
• Analyze failed test runs and identify root causes
• Document bugs in bug-tracking systems
• Verify software fixes and improve existing tests
• Conduct code reviews for automated test implementations
• Evaluate and implement new approaches and methods
• Utilize AI-based solutions for efficiency and quality improvement
• Work independently on complex tasks while being a team player
• Coordinate closely with development and stakeholders
