Job summary
Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a software engineer to support and improve the Tool Control host automation application in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years in software development or DevOps role
- Proficient in C# .NET or Java SE
- Semiconductor background with GEM-SECS knowledge preferred
- Experience with Microsoft T-SQL or Oracle PL-SQL
- Experience in Windows and Unix environments
- Experience with source code repositories
- Familiarity with IDEs like Visual Studio or Eclipse
- Korean language skills are a plus
Responsibilities
- Develop, deploy, and maintain semiconductor host automation software application
- Provide customer support to fab engineering departments
- Troubleshoot user-reported system issues
- Understand existing source code
- Consider external system dependencies in solutions
- Complete unit testing prior to implementation
- Document development and testing plans
- Review and validate peer development
- Provide 24x7 on-call support for critical system escalations
- Participate in conference calls with Corporate HQ outside of regular hours
