Job summary
Provides technical and operational support for a secure virtual desktop infrastructure serving Raven Rock Mountain Complex operations. The engineer deploys, configures, maintains, and troubleshoots VMware VDI for more than 500 desktop and VPN users across three networks, coordinating with system, network, and cybersecurity teams. The role also covers performance testing, lifecycle management, incident response, technical documentation, and disaster recovery planning.

Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- At least five years of VDI implementation and administration experience
- Expertise designing, configuring, and supporting enterprise virtualization for desktop and VPN environments
Responsibilities
- Plan, engineer, test, coordinate, schedule, deploy, and optimize VMware VDI infrastructure.
- Support VDI for more than 500 desktop and VPN users across three networks.
- Participate in and lead network installations and upgrades.
- Coordinate with vendors to resolve outages and performance issues.
- Develop testing strategies and document results.
- Resolve escalated technical requests and incident or change tickets in Remedy.
- Provide guidance and training to Tier 2 support, help desk staff, and end users.
- Develop and document technical procedures and disaster recovery plans.
- Maintain a VDI knowledge database in SharePoint.
- Coordinate with system, network, and cybersecurity teams on VDI operations.
