Job summary

LPL*** is seeking a VP of Platform Engineering to lead the MS SQL team for enterprise data platforms. This senior leadership role involves defining and executing database platform strategy, managing a team, and ensuring effective support for technology operations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of data solution architecture and platform engineering experience, SQL Server expert
• 5+ years of leadership experience in large financial institutions
• 5+ years experience architecting modern data integration frameworks
• 5+ years experience leading migration of data platforms to AWS

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead infrastructure platform engineering team for SQL Server environment
• Lead database platform transformation for enterprise applications
• Accelerate infrastructure transformation using infrastructure as code (IaC)
• Collaborate with IT stakeholders on multi-year technology strategy
• Partner with architecture team for tool and data platform alignment
• Provide thought leadership for platform and data architecture
• Ensure effective 24x7x365 support for assigned technology
• Integrate disaster recovery processes with technology operations
• Build strong partnerships with IT stakeholders
• Drive organizational change through technology optimization
• Establish KPIs for performance measurement
• Manage vendor relationships
