Job summary

The Web Services DevOps Engineer is responsible for automating deployment processes and ensuring high-quality service in a collaborative environment. Key responsibilities include developing CI/CD pipelines using Gitlab CI/CD, configuring systems built in Drupal and PHP, and collaborating with various teams to maintain production system availability and performance monitoring.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience with Ansible for automation
  • 1-3 years of Linux administration experience
  • 3+ years of experience with containerization and orchestration on Linux using Docker, ECS, or EKS
  • 1-3 years of experience with Gitlab or similar version control systems
  • 3+ years of experience building CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or Gitlab
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum software development lifecycle
  • Experience building and maintaining websites using Drupal CMS
  • Experience deploying applications on Kubernetes and Linux environments
  • Experience with automation tools like Ansible
  • Strong understanding of Linux systems administration
  • Experience with application containerization and infrastructure as code
  • Experience deploying applications on PaaS or IaaS cloud offerings
  • Experience with source code management tools like Git

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Web Services colleagues on projects
  • Enable automation of deployment triggers and alerts
  • Configure automated testing and deployment processes
  • Design and document the DevOps process
  • Automate operations with scripts or templates
  • Recommend development strategies to management
  • Develop detailed specification documents with project teams
  • Develop CI/CD scripts using Gitlab CI/CD
  • Configure systems built in Drupal and PHP
  • Collaborate with teams to maintain deployment artifacts
  • Document DevOps processes on SharePoint
  • Develop monitoring systems for production availability
  • Implement centralized logging and monitoring tools
  • Install application patches on Drupal applications
  • Lead production deployment efforts with the Development Team
  • Coordinate patch deployments with Linux team and vendors
  • Ensure patching and updates for container images
  • Debug application performance issues and optimize performance
