About Hasan From early on in my computer science journey, I realized I have a strong aversion to black boxes. I struggle with accepting that "things just work" without understanding how they work. This curiosity led me down several early career rabbit holes, ultimately guiding me to the fascinating world of DevOps. My career began at a subsidiary of the American Chemical Society known as Chemical Abstracts Service. While working on the platform engineering team there, I encountered the challenges of self-hosting and on-premises disasters. When the company decided to transition to the cloud, I embraced the opportunity to learn about the unique complexities that come with cloud computing. Despite the headaches, I'm passionate about working in the cloud. My fascination with simplifying cloud operations led me to explore the AWS CDK and HashiCorp's CDKTF. I was fortunate to meet the inventor of the AWS CDK, who became a dear friend and mentor. He invited me to join his new startup, Wing Cloud, where I had the privilege of working on developing Winglang, the world’s first cloud programming language. For the past two years, I've collaborated with an incredible team of engineers, focusing on abstracting the cloud in our SDK and compiler. However, the financial realities of an open-source programming language have brought me back to the job market. I'm excited to bring my expertise to new projects and help build your applications!
