From the early years of my career in technology, my interest was centered on automation and process improvement. I began my career as a Unix Systems Engineer, where I worked intensively on cloud infrastructure automation. This experience allowed me to understand the importance of infrastructure as code and deployment automation, which eventually led me to embrace the DevOps culture. As my career progressed, I continued to specialize in DevOps practices, working in various companies and helping to transform their operations towards more agile and efficient methodologies. One of my most notable recent achievements was at Ring.com/Amazon, where I led the migration of CI/CD from GitHub and Jenkins to a fully integrated AWS stack with CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodePipeline, and CodeDeploy. This change not only improved the efficiency of the deployment process but also enabled greater integration and automation, significantly reducing the time to deliver new features to production. Recently, I have delved into implementing Kubernetes with EKS and migrating services from EC2 to Docker containers managed by Kubernetes. This knowledge has allowed me to better understand the advantages of orchestrated environments and the flexibility they offer for managing large-scale applications. I have also learned to optimize monitoring and alerts using Amazon CloudWatch along with Grafana, thus improving service observability. What I am most passionate about in the DevOps field is the ability to transform how organizations develop, deploy, and maintain software. I am motivated by seeing how DevOps practices can break down silos between teams, foster collaboration, and improve the quality and speed of product delivery. Additionally, I love being at the forefront of technology, always learning and applying new tools and methodologies to solve complex problems. My DevOps skills can make a difference in environments that require continuous integration and rapid, reliable deployment. My experience in infrastructure migration and implementing advanced monitoring solutions not only improves operational efficiency but also enhances the resilience and scalability of systems. Furthermore, my ability to work across multiple cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Digital Ocean) allows me to design hybrid architectures and choose the best solutions for each need. What makes me stand out in the DevOps field is my combination of deep technical knowledge and my ability to lead teams and complex projects. My experience with tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, and various AWS services, along with my capability to implement and improve CI/CD processes, allows me to offer comprehensive and robust solutions. Additionally, my commitment to continuous improvement and the adoption of new technologies ensures that I am always seeking ways to optimize and evolve the infrastructures I work on.
