I have been working as Linux system administrator since 2017, having an overall experience of 7 years in Infrastructure Operations. Apart from Linux (RedHat, Ubuntu, Oracle Linux, SUSE Linux), I have been working on Solaris operating system and SPARC stack since mid 2020. Being working in Solaris, I got exposed to core virtualization technology (SPARC hardware, Control Domains, Logical Domains, Solaris/ Unix/ Linux containers or zones, kernel zones). I do have strong exposure and knowledge in VMware, VirtualBox, Oracle VM Manager. In terms of Linux scope, I have experience in building and managing HA clusters like Pacemaker and Oracle RAC; profound skill in creating and maintaining various filesystems (EXT4, XFS, GFS, NFS, ZFS, ASM, VFS); proven skill in deploying SAN storage for Linux and Unix Physical stack along with LVM and Veritas Volume Manager (Dynamic Multipathing). As my role in previous and current organizations involved not only in terms of administering OS, but also configuring network from OS end specifically when building new physical stack to host Linux and Solaris OS and applications, and I have been often into troubleshooting and fixing network related issues from OS and platform ends liaising with Networks team. I have secured AWS Cloud Practitioner and GitHub Foundations certifications, and consistently invest time to go even deeper into AWS and Git/ GitHub. I am skilled with Kubernetes and Docker, secured Certified Kubernetes Administrator certificate with a score of 98 out of 100, and indulged in learning CKAD, Terraform and Python. I have experience in bash scripting as I leverage that skill in my daily tasks as much as I can, and I do maintain the existing bash and other automation scripts in the environment to keep them up-to-date so that the required tasks or process gets completed without issues. I am passionate to learn more and go deeper in Linux OS, delivery and development. I believe that I have earned sufficient experience in Linux OS and Infrastructure operations in conventional DC model; equipped with cloud fundamentals and containers/ orchestration skills. Now I'm really looking out for an opportunity where I can transfer my existing experience and leverage my skillset to work in cloud and microservices platforms.
