Managing and maintaining a continuous integration environment meant constantly adapting automated scripts to configure and test applications – working closely with the developers and also fellow DevOps team members to develop best-in-class scalable solutions. I along with my team managed to reduce infrastructure deployment time by 150 percent, designing efficient CI/CD pipelines and also involved in migrating applications from Monolithic architecture to Microservices based architecture. In terms of my tools and solutions knowledge, I am proficient in Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Azure, Ansible, Terraform, Gitlab CI and VMware. I have worked with applications in three major programming languages. I find pleasure in making DevOps accessible for those who are not technically minded alongside bridging the gaps between devs and ops. As someone who is from systems background, I was always curious about reducing the time for regular tasks and thats how the love/passion for automating tasks using scripts has developed and it is also the one thing that constantly kept me from upskilling myself to get better at automation. I hold certifications in Kubernetes(CKA) and AWS(Solution Architect Associate) and both of them expired in 2023. I plan to re-certify and also add few more certs under my belt. My bachelor’s degree is from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, India in Computer Science and Information Technology. Though my bachelors degree prepared me for the more theoretical aspects of my role I find the most pleasure when solving a practical problem with my wider team. It is one thing seeking perfection in the logic of code, but that perfection is useless if it does not have the intended real-world impact. My colleagues often compliment me as an enthusiastic co-worker and someone who could be a go-to guy for help.
