I have around 9 years of IT experience working in the Insurance domain where we built and managed e-comm applications for investments. So I started my career as a DB2 DBA along with configuration management skills to build and deploy applications. As a DB2 DBA, I was responsible for building databases, setting up new environments for testing, restoring and backing up databases, performing ETLs on test environments, and data replication between mainframe and e-comm applications. I also handled database migration and upgrades from 9.7 to 10.5. I have developed projects using Agile methodology and deployed them to production under strict timelines. As a DevOps Engineer, I utilized a range of DevOps tools, including GitHub for version control, Jenkins for CI/CD deployments, Ansible for configuration management, Terraform for infrastructure provisioning, and the ELK stack for application monitoring. In terms of usage, for creating DB2 Linux instances in test environments. We used Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning, which reduced manual errors and improved system consistency. To streamline configuration management tasks, we used Ansible for performing DB2 fix pack updates and DB2 upgrades. We implemented monitoring and logging solutions using AWS CloudWatch and Elasticsearch to track system performance, identify issues, and troubleshoot incidents proactively. I have demonstrated extensive expertise in automating, deploying, and managing cloud-based solutions across AWS and Azure. Leveraged AWS services such as EC2, S3, and Lambda, as well as Azure services like Virtual Machines and Blob Storage, to build robust, scalable environments. My recent projects include implementing a DevOps lifecycle where I used Ansible, Docker, Jenkins and GitHub to automatically deploy the code whenever there are changes made to GitHub. Also, I have used Terraform in my previous company to automate the creation of DB2 Linux instances on test environments. In one of my projects, I designed and implemented a comprehensive CI/CD pipeline for automating deployment, scaling and operations of application containers across clusters of hosts for a microservices-based application. I implemented a solution using CICD pipeline to deploy the containerized code from DockerHub on kubernetes clusters. I proposed a solution for development team to automate the provisioning, configuring and updating of resources using AWS Cloud Formation. I played a key role in streamlining deployment pipelines and improving infrastructure scalability, resulting in a 30% increase in deployment efficiency and a significant reduction in downtime. I have a proven track record of utilizing tools like Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Ansible to automate processes and manage complex systems with precision. One of the highlights of my career was leading the transition to a microservices architecture, which improved the application’s scalability and reduced deployment times by 40%. I am also skilled in scripting with Python and Bash, allowing me to automate repetitive tasks and enhance operational efficiency. My experience also includes monitoring and optimizing performance, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing security best practices to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
