As a DevOps engineer, my journey began with a passion for cloud computing and automation. Today, I specialize in cloud migration, DevOps practices, and infrastructure automation, helping businesses save costs, scale seamlessly, and enhance security. One of my recent accomplishments includes reducing data pond deployment times from 8 hours to 10 minutes using SaltStack and Terraform, and leading a major network upgrade. Cloud migration has been a cornerstone of my work as a DevOps engineer. One of my key successes was driving a zero-downtime data migration using Striim, ensuring seamless transitions without impacting business operations. Additionally, I migrated 10TB of legacy data from Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) to Platform as a Service (PaaS), improving efficiency and saving over $250,000. What excites me most about cloud migration is the opportunity to transform a company's infrastructure into a more scalable, resilient, and cost-effective model. I leverage tools like Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and SaltStack for automation, ensuring migrations are smooth, secure, and optimized for performance.
