I am Oluseyi, a geologist who metamorphosed into a DevOps engineer. As a geologist, my interest in softwares, cloud etc led me to equip myself in GIS, statistical softwares and hardware. My insatiable desire led to cloud and DevOps engineering. Throughout my career, I have consistently demonstrated a deep understanding and practical application of DevOps principles and practices. My knowledge of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform enables me to manage and automate infrastructure deployments on AWS and Azure. I am proficient in both AWS and Azure cloud. I also have migration experience in my current job since we are migrating from onsite to cloud. I have hands-on experience with various AWS components, including AWS Lambda for serverless computing, DynamoDB, RDS postgres for NoSQL and SQL database management, as well as AZURE components VMs, CloudPCs, Entra, Datafactory, SQLVM, SQL server, Postgresql, IPSEC, expressroute and Azure monitor, to mention a few. This expertise has enabled me to architect and deploy robust, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on the AWS/AZURE platform. I have hands-on experience with datadog AWS cloudwatch for monitoring. Furthermore, I am well-versed in version control using Git, leveraging its capabilities to ensure efficient collaboration and reliable code management within development teams. I have also utilized CodePipeline and CodeDeploy for streamlining continuous integration and deployment processes, adhering to best practices and ensuring high-quality software releases (even during patching). Additionally, I possess strong familiarity with Snyk, for code quality analysis, enabling me to maintain high coding standards and identify and address potential issues early in the development cycle. In addition to technical skills, I am proficient in utilizing Atlassian tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Gitlab for project management, documentation, and version control. My experience with these tools allows for effective communication, collaboration, and organization within cross-functional teams. I am confident that my technical acumen, coupled with my ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, makes me an ideal candidate for the DevOps position at organisation.
