My journey as a DevOps engineer begin when I tried to change my career path from Backend engineer. At that time I was stumped in many ways because I can feel that working as Backend engineer is not really my calling. Then I decided to look for another career that align with my interest. With some help from a recruiter, I was interviewed with a startup company as a Backend engineer again. So to spice up a little bit, I write "Backend engineer, DevOps wannabe" as a tagline on my CV. Fortunately their DevOps lead noticed, and decided to interviewed me too as a DevOps engineer. And then the rest is history. As a DevOps engineer, I have accomplished multiple goal to improve deployment process of some companies. Recently I was able to help one of biggest telco company in Indonesia to enable and guide their engineer to apply DevSecOps pipeline in their deployment process. It was a huge experience in my career as I only worked on some startup before.
