My journey into the world of DevOps began with a passion for both development and operations, driven by a desire to bridge the gap between these two critical areas. As a DevOps engineer, I thrive on creating seamless workflows and optimizing processes to drive efficiency and reliability in software delivery. During my internship at Brightskies in Cairo, Egypt, I had the opportunity to design and implement a CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins, which significantly optimized software delivery and deployment workflows. I also developed a Qt6-based (C++ GUI) Training Manager application, applying OOP principles and leveraging efficient data structures for scalable software design. This experience not only honed my technical skills but also reinforced my ability to create robust and maintainable software solutions. In my role as a DevOps Engineering Intern at EFG-Holding (EFG Hermes), I further expanded my expertise by developing PowerShell scripts to automate administrative tasks on on-prem Windows servers. I implemented CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, configured Nginx as a reverse proxy and load balancer, and integrated OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Jaeger for comprehensive system monitoring and tracing. Working with OpenShift for container orchestration allowed me to deploy applications efficiently across environments, ensuring high availability and scalability. A recent accomplishment that stands out is the development of a robust testing pipeline encompassing unit tests, code coverage, static analysis, and integration testing. By integrating Jira with automated test reporting using Pytest and Allure, I improved traceability and provided clear insights into software quality metrics. This project not only enhanced the reliability and maintainability of the software but also demonstrated my ability to streamline complex processes. I am particularly passionate about automation and continuous improvement. I believe that the key to successful DevOps lies in the ability to automate repetitive tasks and continuously refine workflows. This passion led me to automate various workflows through Python, Bash, and Batch scripting, significantly streamlining repetitive development tasks. My unique skills in DevOps, including proficiency in CI/CD tools, scripting languages, and container orchestration, make me a valuable asset to any team. I am eager to bring my expertise to new challenges and contribute to projects that require innovative solutions and a commitment to excellence.
