About

My DevOps Journey: From Accidental Discovery to Passionate Practice How I Stumbled Into DevOps Honestly, I had no idea what DevOps was when I started at Xoriant in 2021. I thought I'd be writing code, but suddenly I was containerizing applications with Docker and deploying microservices on Kubernetes. The learning curve was steep, but something clicked—I realized I enjoyed solving infrastructure puzzles as much as writing software. Recent Personal Project: MLOps Exploration I got curious about MLOps after seeing data scientists struggle with model deployment at work. So I built a personal project combining machine learning with DevOps practices—automated ML training pipelines using GitHub Actions, containerized models with Docker, and deployed them on a local Kubernetes cluster. The whole setup automatically retrains models when new data arrives and deploys updates without downtime. It taught me how DevOps principles apply beautifully to machine learning workflows. What's Catching My Attention: MCP I've been reading about Model Context Protocol (MCP) and how it might change how we manage infrastructure. The idea of AI agents that can analyze system metrics and make optimization decisions is fascinating. Still early days, but I'm experimenting with simple implementations for log analysis. What Keeps Me Engaged I enjoy the problem-solving aspect of DevOps—figuring out why a deployment failed at 2 AM, optimizing costs without sacrificing performance, or building monitoring that actually helps instead of just creating noise. There's satisfaction in creating systems that just work, even when nobody notices them. Where I've Made a Difference At Xoriant, I helped move several teams from manual deployments to automated pipelines. The results were solid—faster deployments, fewer production issues, better sleep for everyone. My automation scripts saved the team significant time each week, which meant less weekend work and more focus on actual development. What I Bring Three years of hands-on experience with real production systems, a willingness to learn new technologies, and a practical approach to solving infrastructure challenges. Currently working on my Master's in Informatics to stay current with emerging trends while applying what I learn in real environments. Looking Forward I'm interested in roles where I can help teams build reliable, scalable systems while continuing to learn new technologies and approaches.
