I am a Lead Platform Engineer with 8 years of experience in technology. After my masters education, I started learning C# and I got a job as a graduate software engineer writing 3D code. 6 months into my time as a software engineer, I came across AWS and CloudFormation and I enjoyed the work then 12 moths after I got a job as a DevOps engineer at a startup called VAKT. During my 6 months contract at VAKT, I learnt terraform, Concourse (CI/CD), Jenkins and Docker. After my contract ended at VAKT, I was fortunate to land a gig at IBM, where I took my DevOps skills to the next level and added more tools like Bash, Ansible Grafana and Prometheus to my skillsset. I did that for two years then moved to another consultancy called Capco, where I started working with financial services and first time working with Kubernetes in a production environment. All this while, I am still working with Terraform, AWS, Docker, monitoring tools, but I also picked up Azure and GCP at Capco as well. I am currently working in-house at a bank now, where I am a hands-on Lead Platform engineer building out a new AWS landing zone built on K8s to power the banks applications. The bulk of my experience involves engineering transformation mainly around cloud technologies, containerisation and infrastructure management
