I didn’t start out aiming to be a DevOps engineer — I grew into it by being the person who liked fixing broken systems and making things run better than before. Early in my career, I found myself working between development and operations, helping teams move faster without breaking things. That’s where DevOps clicked for me. I’ve since worked on cloud platforms in high-pressure financial environments, migrating applications to AWS and Azure, building Kubernetes-based microservices, and automating CI/CD pipelines so teams could deploy confidently and frequently. One of my favorite parts of the job is taking something messy or manual and turning it into something clean, automated, and reliable. I care a lot about building systems that don’t just work once, but keep working under load, during failures, and through change. I’ve led disaster recovery testing, improved monitoring and alerting, and helped teams meet tough security and compliance requirements — all while keeping things practical and usable. Lately, I’ve been exploring how AI and automation can make DevOps smarter, whether that’s improving deployments, observability, or reducing operational noise. I enjoy learning, sharing what I know, and mentoring others along the way.
